Journal entry # 3. Today I was checking the homework in the class, I think it is better to do inside the class to clarify any misunderstanding or any question left from the last class.One neccesary thing to do it possible is one monitor and one task in the board, student´s discipline depends on how much busy they are , so kep them busy while you are checking .They also really like to participate writing the correct answers of the homework on the board, so I put the numbers of the questions and then number the students fo each question in order to come to the board and write it on the board, then I asked them to compare those answers and rise their hand if there is any comment about , I really enfasize in the way they express themself because they tend to be rude with their classmates.I just correct some of the mistakes and finally practice some pronunciation and motivate them ,here is really important to motivate students because it is the sparkle of your class, for me is more easy t...

What makes a good teacher? In my opinion it depends on different aspects,it is also important to highlight that there are many perceptions of good teachers around the worls,some people think good teacher are those who are very strict and good at classroom management, but I think it is not only the performance ,it is also about the academic background ,I mean a good teacher cares about her or his career ,in the way of growing as a professional not only for their own gain but also for enhace the way they explain and bring more strategies to the classroom.Another aspect is how responsable teacher are when they have to plan their lesson plan,it is a balance between explainning and students selfwork,to avoid being the lazy teacher how only put to translate or just show a video ,those are neccesary startegies but not to be unresponsable .At the end I think a good teacher is the one how loves what he or she does,how finds joy in what they do in their classroom and how also wants to be a bett...

Journal entry #2 This time my cooperating teacher and me talked about some issues in regard to grading and giving parents feedback at the end of the end of the first term.It was my first time giving the first term report,my co-teacher help me to write the comments and how to say the positive and the negative stuff in order to not sound "bad".For me this experience have been very meaningful because I learnt from  a real situation but with the guidance of a teacher who knows more about this kind of tasks that we as teacher face and that we are not taught inside the programm.Also I learnt how to identify some students stregthness and difficulties in regards to language learning and to give them some roles inside the class such as monitors .

Journal entry #1 This week I started a new topic ,future tense going to ,I asked my cooperating teacher for some pieces of advice to begin with ,after that I decided to use some images to present them the topic with a game of matching the pictures with phrase "She/he  is going to..." different kind of activities such as "go fishing,go to the beach".I found that it was pretty much interesting for them ,surpringly they have never had an activity like that.On the other hand,some obstacles that I found was controling the noisy when they wanted to participate,its  my biggest challenge now,I wanted them to participate but its hard and time consuming to manage to control the discipline.I think at the end I did my best ,next time I will state the rules in order to participate otherwise they would not have the chance to participate.
